Remote work: organizing the rotation of positions
The setup should allow you to change positions throughout the day. Start with the transitions already offered by your activity.
Checks to make
-
Identify transition moments
Between two calls, after reading or before starting a new task, plan a moment to stand up or move around when possible.
-
Set up both configurations
If your desk is adjustable, check the sitting and standing positions separately. Keep your work tools accessible in both cases.
-
Avoid a new fixed position
Working all day standing up is not the goal. Adapt the setup according to your comfort and the tasks performed.
-
Check before buying
Compare the height range, footprint, and load capacity of an adjustable desk. Make sure the cables follow the movement without tension.
Move on to the next step
Start with a simple change, then observe its use over several sessions. Define the role of any equipment before comparing models.
